Valor Power Connects with the Road Transport Industry at Road Transport Expo 2026
Valor Power recently attended Road Transport Expo (RTX) 2026, held at NAEC Stoneleigh from 30 June to 2 July, bringing together businesses, fleet operators, manufacturers and innovators from across the UK road transport industry.
For Valor Power, the event provided an opportunity to meet people working at the forefront of commercial transport and discuss one of the biggest challenges facing the industry: how businesses can successfully transition towards electric fleets.
With more than 350 exhibitors showcasing the latest developments across commercial vehicles, transport technology and services, RTX has become an important meeting point for the road transport sector.
Putting fleet electrification into the real world
One of the key themes running throughout this year’s event was the practical challenge of moving towards zero-emission transport.
While electric commercial vehicles are developing rapidly, the infrastructure required to support them remains a major consideration for fleet operators. Questions around charging, energy capacity, depot requirements and operational flexibility are becoming increasingly important as businesses assess how and when to electrify.
The RTX programme itself reflected this focus, with sessions dedicated to subjects including electric freight, depot charging and the infrastructure required to support the transition to zero-emission HGVs.
These discussions closely align with the work Valor Power is undertaking through Volt Station, its energy storage and high-speed EV charging solution.
Showcasing a different approach to charging
Volt Station has been developed to address some of the practical challenges businesses can encounter when installing traditional EV charging infrastructure.
The system combines battery energy storage with high-speed EV charging, allowing stored energy to be used to support vehicle charging where grid capacity is limited. It is designed as a plug-and-play solution that can be delivered, positioned and connected without extensive construction or disruptive groundworks.
For fleet operators, this creates the potential for a more flexible approach to charging infrastructure particularly for businesses operating from sites where grid capacity, planning or extensive construction works can make traditional charging projects difficult.
Connecting with the people driving the transition
For Valor Power, RTX was about more than showcasing a product. It was an opportunity to listen to the industry and better understand the challenges businesses are facing as they plan their transition to electric vehicles.
Meeting fleet operators, transport professionals and other businesses provided valuable insight into the different requirements across the sector. From logistics and haulage to commercial fleets, the journey towards electrification will look different for every organisation.
That makes flexibility increasingly important.
As businesses consider their future fleet requirements, charging infrastructure needs to work around their operations rather than forcing businesses to completely redesign them.
Looking ahead
The conversations taking place at RTX demonstrated that the transition to electric road transport is moving forward, but also that infrastructure will play a crucial role in determining how quickly businesses can make the change.
For Valor Power, events such as Road Transport Expo provide an important opportunity to be part of that conversation and sharing ideas, learning from the industry and demonstrating how innovative energy solutions can help businesses overcome some of the practical barriers to electrification.
As the road transport sector continues to evolve, Valor Power is committed to developing flexible energy and charging solutions that help businesses keep moving towards a more electric future.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with the Valor Power team at Road Transport Expo 2026. We look forward to continuing the conversations and working with businesses across the transport industry as the transition to electric fleets gathers pace.
