Driving the Transition to Electric Fleets
On Thursday 21st May, Valor Power hosted a successful Open House event alongside Ford & Slater at their Leicester facility, welcoming fleet operators, logistics professionals and industry partners for a day focused on the future of transport electrification.
The event gave attendees the opportunity to see the Volt Station up close and in operation, while exploring how modular battery storage and charging infrastructure can support the transition towards fully electric commercial fleets. Throughout the day, the team demonstrated how the Volt Station has been designed specifically for difficult-to-power sites, helping operators overcome many of the traditional challenges associated with EV infrastructure rollout. Guests enjoyed live discussions and demonstrations of Volt Station with the Award Winning DAF XF Electric.
Conversations across the event highlighted the growing demand for practical, scalable and flexible charging solutions within the logistics sector. Topics ranged from depot electrification and the rapid installation timelines for Volt Station – the future of fleet expansion without the need for civils.
It was encouraging to speak with so many businesses actively planning their transition to electric fleets and looking for solutions that can accelerate deployment while reducing disruption.
And of course, the fantastic pie & mash served throughout the day proved to be a big hit with attendees.
A huge thank you to Josh and the entire Ford & Slater team for hosting us and helping make the event such a success. We also want to thank everyone who attended, took part in the conversations and spent time with the team throughout the day. We look forward to continuing those discussions and supporting more operators on their journey towards fleet electrification.
